Durham Autism Advisory Committee

MANDATE

The role of the Autism Advisory Committee (DAAC) is to advise and assist Kerry’s Place Autism Services and other community organizations with regards to programming for people on the spectrum. In addition, members will be asked to help identify and address issues facing people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).


RESPONSIBILITES

The Durham Autism Advisory Committee (DAAC) is responsible to provide advice to Kerry’s Place Autism Services and other community organizations with regards to planning for future programming and accommodations for people with ASD.

The committee members will be asked to provide input on a variety of issues including but not limited to:

  • Employment
  • Mentorship
  • Transitioning to Post Secondary Education
  • Social Groups
