Dollars and Sense

Manage your dollars and cents by learning to make sense of money.

This evidence-based group program is for Autistic teens ages 12 – 17 who want to increase their independence by learning to manage their money. Participants will learn the relative cost of items they value and the benefits of saving and budgeting.

Topics can include:

  • Understanding currency
  • Learning to set and follow a budget
  • Managing spending
  • Learning how to earn money
  • Keeping money, debit and credit cards safe
  • Identifying needs versus wants

This group program is overseen by a Registered Behaviour Analyst and is an eligible expense under Core Clinical Services within the Ontario Autism Program (OAP).

Important Note: By registering for this group on MyCommunityHub (MCH), you secure your spot in the free sample session and will be charged later for the cost of the group session. Sample sessions are required for all groups and help us determine the best match for each participant based on the recommended support ratio and if the program curriculum fits their needs.

Registering with our Intake Team is the first step to receiving services from Kerry’s Place.
