Foundations is a time-limited Community Participation Support (CPS) program that is open to Autistic adults 18+ who are registered with the Developmental Services of Ontario (DSO). This program supports teens and adults needing help with independence and building life skills. It can also support teens transitioning into adulthood.
The supports offered are goal-oriented and community-based. They can vary and are tailored to each person’s needs, but all work to promote social inclusion, individual choice, independence, and rights. Supports can include building life skills and healthy living practices, developing relationships or working on social skill development, or supporting volunteer or employment activities.
This is a Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services-funded service and referrals for this program must go through Developmental Services Ontario (DSO). To find out more about Foundations, please contact your local DSO branch at https://www.dsontario.ca/
