Learn the skills needed to find and earn job or volunteer opportunities.
This vocational skills-focused group is for Autistic teens ages 14-17 who want to prepare for entering the workforce. Participants will learn strategies for finding, earning, and keeping a job or volunteer opportunity.
Topics can include:
- Preparing a resume
- Searching and applying for jobs
- Practicing interview skills
- Understanding appropriate work attire
- Learning the strategies for employment success (sleep routines, healthy eating, personal care and hygiene, etc.)
This group program is overseen by a Registered Behaviour Analyst and is an eligible expense under Core Clinical Services within the Ontario Autism Program (OAP).
