Youth Autism Advisory Committee

The Youth Autism Advisory Committee (YAAC) provides an opportunity for youth ages 14-21 to provide advice and input to Kerry’s Place Autism Services and act as a resource for the organization in matters related to person-directed community supports and service delivery.

The YAAC’s purpose is to advise, promote and share information as it relates to the autistic experience. The committee provides suggestions on service gaps and demands as well as provide input on existing services and support currently offered. They promote opportunities for communication and collaboration among supported individuals, management, staff and the community.

Meetings are held virtually every other month, and the committee supports all regions across Kerry’s Place.
