Advocating in Our Communities

We were honoured to welcome Members of Provincial Parliament (MPP) to a number of Kerry’s Place homes and offices through the months of January & February. These visits provided an opportunity to highlight the barriers faced by Autistic people and their families as they seek critical Developmental Services that will enable them to flourish and be seen as full and equal members of their communities. We would like to thank the following MPPs for taking time to meet with us as we work together toward meaningful change.

  1. Hon. Sylvia Jones, MPP for Dufferin-Caledon and Ontario’s Deputy Premier and Minister of Health met with Kerry’s Place employees and family members at Leader home in Orangeville. (February 6)
  2. Tyler Allsopp, MPP for Bay of Quinte (January 16)
  3. Jennifer French, MPP for Oshawa (January 19)
  4. Hon. Charmaine A. Williams, MPP for Brampton Centre (January 21)
  5. Alexa Gilmour, MPP for Parkdale – High Park (January 27)
  6. David Smith, MPP for Scarborough Centre (January 28)
  7. Mike Schreiner, MPP for Guelph and leader of the Ontario Green Party (January 29)
  8. Stacie Korjenevitch, Executive Assistant from the Office of Kinga Surma, MPP for Etobicoke Centre (February 2)
  9. Dawn Gallagher-Murphy, MPP for Newmarket-Aurora (February 3)
