50 Years of Unlocking Possibilities for Autistic Ontarians

Fifty years ago, a group of determined parents dared to dream of a different future for their Autistic children. Instead of accepting the status quo of institutionalization, these families envisioned a future where their children could thrive in their communities, rather than apart from them. During humble beginnings in a family farmhouse, Kerry’s Place was born from the idea that inclusion, support and understanding could unlock a better life for Autistic people and their families.

Today, we celebrate five decades of transforming possibilities into reality. We’ve built locations and partnerships across southeastern Ontario to help redefine the landscape for Canadian Autism services.

While we know the work is far from over, we’re proud of the strides we’ve made. Every step forward is a testament to the power of community, advocacy, and unwavering dedication to creating a better world for all Autistic people and their families.
