National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

Today, on National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, Kerry’s Place honours residential school Survivors, their families and communities, and remembers the Indigenous children who never returned home.

We recognize the ongoing impacts of residential schools on First Nations, Inuit and Métis Peoples. Reconciliation requires continued listening, learning and meaningful action beyond September 30.

One place to begin: explore the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s 94 Calls to Action. Choose one to learn about, understand the progress still needed, and consider how you can contribute.

Continue learning throughout the year by reading Indigenous authors, listening to Survivor stories and supporting Indigenous-led initiatives.
