This 10-week recreation and respite group supports autistic youth and teens ages 12–17 through engaging activities within the community focused on independence and social connection. Participants will practice real-world skills and strengthen friendships by taking part in community outings, such as grocery shopping, cooking in a kitchen space, visiting the library, and meeting with local Police/OPP and other community resources. Through these experiences, participant will build confidence in daily living routines, money management, personal safety, community awareness, and social interaction. This group is delivered in partnership between Kerry’s Place Autism Services, Brampton Caledon Community Living, and Town of Caledon.
