The Code

Learn how to code!

This group program is for Autistic teens ages 14-17 who want to learn the foundational skills of coding and how coding can be applied to video game creation. Participants will develop their coding skills, strengthen their computer skills, and connect with others who have the same interests. The sessions will cover the fundamentals of block-based coding and drag-and-drop coding and how each relates to the world of video games.

Participants should be interested in coding, have the ability to read and write, and have some basic computer skills. Prior coding experience is not required.

Note: Kerry’s Place will schedule sample sessions for all enrolled participants. Sample sessions help us determine the best match for each participant based on the recommended support ratio and if the program curriculum fits their needs.
